JOB: Project Site Coordinator - Tanzania for Homegarden Scaling Project Arusha, Tanzania


The World Vegetable Center is seeking a talented, diligent, ambitious and reliable person who places importance on quality, team-work and diligence for the position of Project Site Coordinator - Tanzania to coordinate the in-country activities of the project “Deploying Vegetable Seed Kits to Tackle Malnutrition in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda” (in short, Homegarden Scaling Project) funded by the USAID.

Skills, knowledge and qualifications 
• Applicants must have a minimum of M.Sc. in preferably social or agricultural science disciplines, with a minimum of 2 years of extensive project coordination experience in food (nutrition) and agriculture. Good Agro-economic background with focus on horticultural value chains is a plus. 
• Strong written and spoken English language skills. 
• Extensive knowledge of and work experience in Tanzania. 
• Ability to oversee development/implementation of work plans, reports and presentations; ability to write clear and concise technical documents; strong organizational and networking skills. Experience with national partners is a plus. 
• Capacity for strong teamwork, partnership building and project management skills as well as supervisory and mentoring skills. 
• Proven skills to work independently. 
• Proven interpersonal skills and ability to interact with public, private, and civil society leaders and groups on data collection and surveying for project monitoring is an advantage. 
• Excellent computer skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power point). 
• Flexibility to travel extensively within the five focus project regions of Tanzania.
