JOB SUMMARY
The chosen candidate will be required to work closely with farmer groups and co-operatives in Ruvuma in agricultural practice trainings, certification programs, data collection and the management of financial inputs. The main role of the field support team is to build and manage relationships between farmer groups and the company. The candidate will also support the company in sourcing and promoting the production of high quality coffee from smallholders, co-operatives and estates in Tanzania. Other roles include training farmers on agronomic subjects and good practices that will improve the farms productivity and profitability. The candidate will train producers on sustainability standards that will comply with certification standards

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • ü  A degree in Agriculture, masters is an added advantage
  • ü  At least 4 years working experience in the related field.

2.     FARM & ESTATE MANAGER – MOSHI

DESCRIPTION
Our client a dynamic Estate Farm that deals in the production of Avocado is looking to fill the position of a Farm & Estate Manager in Tanzania.

DETAILS
The farm is located half an hour from Moshi and the ideal candidate should be dynamic, passionate & hardworking leader who is able to manage all farm operations. He / she MUST be willing to relocate to Tanzania.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • ü  Optimize farm operational efficiency.
  • ü  Optimize quality of produce, minimizing rejects fruit.
  • ü  Ensure compliance with and certification standards.
  • ü  Ensure farm employees are properly trained and motivated.
  • ü  Manage union relations.
  • ü  Responsible for management of estate security at all times.
  • ü  Check machinery and irrigation equipment’s operation daily and correct faults.
  • ü  Liaise closely with the pack house staff to ensure fruit is delivered in the proper quantity and at the right time to meet market requirements.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or relevant field.
  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in farm management.
  • Must have hands on experience in checking machineries & equipment’s.
  • Candidates with technical operations background in a farm will have an added advantage.
  • Candidates with a background in managing fruit producing farms will have an added advantage. Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • High integrity and a good understanding of fresh produce.
MONTHLY GROSS SALARY: Ksh. 200,000 - 260,000/= (Approx. 2,000 - 2,600 USD) plus Housing, Medical and Pension

Full Time Position: Head of Policy

Job Purpose to assist the CEO in the implementation of partnership management and investor facilitation. To manage senior relationships with advocacy bodies and non-state actors and develop strategic alliances across the full spectrum of policy actors to address enabling environment bottlenecks. To lead communication and awareness raising on policy issues.

ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in any of the following or related fields: Public Affairs, Political science, Public Administration, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Engineering, Business Administration or Investment Banking, from an accredited university Background and experience in policy and policy analysis
  • At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience
