Tanzania Horticultural Association (TAHA) is an apex private sector member based organization mandated to develop and promote horticultural crops (flowers, fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs and horticultural seeds) in Tanzania. TAHA's goal is to improve the growth and competitiveness of horticultural industry in the country for social and economic gains, TAHA is a strong voicing platform, representing farmers at all levels, processors, exporters and service providers In the horticultural industry in Tanzania TAHA is looking for motivated and highly experienced individuals to fill the following positions:

Duty station; Arusha

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor TIS, enumerators and ensure timely collection and submission of  data/information.
  • Add more features on the TIS that will accommodate key aspects such as markets and logistics, agronomic tips, production, agri-financial and input dealers. Gender and nutritional tips as well as any other features that will be deemed Important In dissemination of horticultural value chain information.
  • Develop and operate online horticulture farming publications, audio and video clips.
  • Promote TIS to reach more users of different services in the value chain through various communication channels including print and electronic media, social media, and bulk messages.
  • Increase information collection centers within Tanzania and Regional markets.
  • Assist in the development and operationalization of TAHA digital Extension system
  • Manage TAHA's internal communication system

Qualifications:

• A degree in ICT or any other related field. Minimum of 3 years' experience in database and software development.
• Experience in mobile applications development and computer networks.
